Back to the Future: 2005-06 Spartanburg Scorpions

The sting of a scorpion can be quite painful. In the 2005-06 season, the 12U Spartanburg Scorpions were administering some painful stings to the majority of their opponents. This talented team compiled a 51-13 record in U.S.S.S.A. tournaments alone. Included in their run was a streak of four straight tournament championships. And they never lost more than two games in a tournament and that only happened twice. Obviously they were loaded with talent. But only a crystal ball could have revealed how much talent or maybe about four years in time elapsed. Now we know that their dominance was no fluke. Junior Diamond Prospects looks back at the Scorpions roster and it is easy to see why they were able to accomplish what they did on the field.
